Favorite childhood book

My favorite book when I was a child was “The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear” by Don and Audrey Wood. This book is a simple picture book about a mouse that picks a red ripe strawberry but is warned that a Big Hungry Bear can smell fresh strawberries, especially ones that have just been picked. He tries to figure out ways to protect the strawberry (with help from the narrator) and then determines that the only way to save it is to eat it (by sharing it with the narrator). The book is simple, funny, and has elements of sharing in it. The reason this book was my favorite is because I always read it when I went to my Grandma and Grandpas house. I picked when I had story time with my grandma, aunts or my parents. Another reason this book is was my favorite was because of the pictures. The pictures were detailed and funny and caught my attention. I think I also loved this book because it was simple; it was a short story line that is refreshing and easy to read. I would not say that this book had an extreme impact on my life but I think that when I was young it taught me about sharing. The main impact that this had on my life is the fact that I will want to read it to my children. It reminds me of memories of fun story times with family members and so I want to recreate those memories for my children.
